Viessmann helps Carlsberg go all green
The first steam plant among Carlsberg’s plants to use woodchips as fuel.
Carlsberg’s brewery in Celarevo, Serbia, has put into operation the first state-of-the-art steam boiler system fueled by wood chips in the global Carlsberg chain.
This Viessmann system uses locally produced wood chips and represents an addition to the existing steam production of the brewery.
Microprocessor-controlled and remotely monitored, the system allows flexible use of wood chips of different humidity and composition, simultaneously modulating its steam production in the range from 30%-100% of its nominal capacity.
The project is a part of Carlsberg's global aspirations to achieve 100% "CO2 free" operations.
The Belgrade Viessmann branch developed this project as a turn-key solution.
